Train
The nearest train stations are:
- Wivenhoe Railway Station (approximately 10 minutes by taxi)
- Hythe Railway Station (approximately 10 minutes by taxi)
- Colchester Railway Station (approximately 15 minutes by taxi)
If you're spending time in London before the wedding, direct trains run regularly from London Liverpool Street Station to Colchester, with a journey time of about one hour.
If you're travelling from outside the UK, we recommend downloading Trainline to book your train tickets, and Citymapper for getting around.
Taxis and Uber are available from all nearby train stations and can take you directly to the venue.

Wivenhoe House is easily accessible by car and offers complimentary parking for wedding guests. The venue is approximately:
- 10 minutes from Colchester
- 45 minutes from London Stansted Airport
- Around 1.5–2 hours from central London (traffic depending)
- Around 2.5–3 hours from Gosport
As you enter the University of Essex campus, follow signs for Wivenhoe House Hotel, as some sat nav routes may initially direct you to other parts of the site.

We're so excited to welcome you to Essex for our wedding at Wivenhoe House. Rooms are available at Wivenhoe House, and we've put together a few nearby accommodation options to suit different budgets and preferences.
Wivenhoe
A block of guest rooms has been reserved at Wivenhoe House for those wishing to stay on-site. The rates are:
- 15 May: £180
- 16 May (the wedding night): £150

These rates will be available until 31st December, after which any unreserved rooms will be released by the hotel.

Can we bring children?
We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration.
Can we use our phones during the ceremony?
We kindly request guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, but encourage you to record as many memories as you want throughout the rest of the day.
What about dietary restrictions?
We want to make sure all guests can enjoy their meals. Please state on the RSVP if you have any dietary needs.
Do you have a gift registry?
We really appreciate everyone coming to celebrate with us. If you would like to contribute towards our honeymoon, cards can be left in the card box at the reception.
